Advent or The Good Shepherd was first published in Germany by Reclam in the autumn 1936. Therefore we celebrate 80 years anniversary of this classic novella. The story that Gunnar Gunnarsson wrote about Benedikt the shepherd who along with his dog Leó and his wether Eitill went to the mountains of Myvatn to search for lost sheep and lambs in the weeks before Christmas, is still widely read and translated to new languages. Last year it was published in Faroese and Spanish. This year it is Italian, Dutch, Norwegian and Arabic.
