Events in November and December

klausturrodiWE ARE CLOSED IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER EXCEPT FOR GROUPS THAT HAVE CONTACT IN ADVANCE. Planned events are: Saturday 26th November a Christmas lunch buffet and writers will read from their works. In the evening there is concert with Svavar Knútur and dinner can be booked in connection with that. Sunday 27th is the annual Gryla festival with singing and storytelling and cake buffet in the afternoon. Sunday 11th December is the annual reading of Advent (The Good Shepherd) by Gunnar Gunnarsson and there will be offered a lunch buffet before the reading.

Opening hours in October

klausturhaust2016The autumn is here and next two weekends are the last of two of our exhibitions: a photo exhibit by KOX and the exhibit Trolls - nature and language. In October we will be open as follows: weekends 1st-2nd and 8th-9th October we will be open from 14:00-17:00 and Klausturkaffi will offer an afternoon cake buffet. All Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October we will be open from 11:00-15:00 and Klausturkaffi will offer a lunch buffet. Service for groups can be ordered in advance at other hours.

Short opening on the 24th

motorhjolOn Saturday 24th September we will be open only 15:00-17:00 due to the sheep gathering in Melarétt (close to Skriduklaustur). The sheep gathering starts is from 11:00-15:00 and is open for all. At Skriduklaustur the exhibitions and café will be open after Melarétt. In gallery Klaustur are the last days of KOX photo exhibition. Except from the 24h we are open every day from 12:00-17:00.

Strings - last days

eyrunaxEyrún Axels's exhibition in gallery Klaustur, Strings - to my heart, is coming to an end. This is the last weekend that it will be open and it ends on 31st August. We are open from 10:00 till 18:00 until the end of August but from 1st September the opening hours change to 12:00-17:00.
